Roughly one billion years after the first organisms romped in the hay, sex remains a rage for a majority of us humans. Thankfully so, for we owe our existence to this first meeting of the genes.

Scientists can’t say what triggered those initial flirtations but many students of romance affirm that we tend to behave in a knee-jerk
fashion in the presence of an attractive member of the opposite sex.
